A very original chocolate, made from two types of cocoa: the white Java criollo cocoa and Trinitario cocoa from Venezuela. The addition of ancho chilli gives this chocolate a subtle smoky flavour with just a hint of spiciness.
Now in its fourth generation, the Schell family runs a hotel, confectionery and café in Gundelsheim, Baden-Württemberg. With the aim of bringing out quality, transparency, fairness and the best flavours from the cocoa beans, Schell recently decided to no longer be “just” a confectioner, but to produce from bean to bar. We are happy about this; the chocolates are great.
