The plantations in north-east Cuba have been combining cultivation culture and natural quality since 1950. The central co-operative in Baracoa offers the cocoa farmers additional training and technical support.
Now in its fourth generation, the Schell family runs a hotel, confectionery and café in Gundelsheim, Baden-Württemberg. With the aim of bringing out quality, transparency, fairness and the best flavours from the cocoa beans, Schell recently decided to no longer be “just” a confectioner, but to produce from bean to bar.
