The original Earl Grey tea was named in the 18th century after Charles Grey, the 2nd Earl of Grey. It was originally made exclusively from fine Chinese tea varieties, infused with the finest oils of Bergamot, a citrus fruit. Today, a caffeine-free version is available, appealing not only to die-hard Earl Grey fans. The mild, sweet notes of rooibos blend wonderfully with the fresh, distinctive Bergamot aroma, while lemon peel adds a special touch.
