Prunes are a subspecies of plums, slightly smaller, with bluish-purple coloured skin, elongated shape and tart flesh. The dried, halved prunes of the Fellenberg variety are made without preservatives and without sugar.
With their sweet-sour and very aromatic taste, dried prunes are an excellent source of energy for hiking or as a snack.
