The “Pimentón Ahumado” is made from carefully selected ripe peppers from La Vera Valley, in the Spanish region of Extremadura, dried with oak wood in smoke ovens. For this powder, the peppers are ground together with the seeds, which creates the spiciness. Smoked paprika is excellent for typical Spanish cuisine such as paella and fish soups, for chilli con carne, but also for raclette and barbecues.
