Cocoa from the Unesco Biosphere Sumaco in the Amazon of Ecuador. The hand-picked beans come from the Kichwa cooperative Wiñak. The flavours of the rainforest come to the fore in this aromatic chocolate: deep, rich and fruity in flavour, smooth in the mouth.
No tree was felled for the packaging. The paper is made from sugar cane fibres.

The history of Kuná chocolate is closely linked to the Asociación Wiñak, a cooperative founded by indigenous Kichwa peoples from Archidona in the Amazon region of Ecuador. The Kichwa harvest particularly high-quality cocoa from the Amazon jungle, which is partly located in the Unesco biosphere Sumaco. For the chocolate with a higher cocoa content, Kuná also uses beans from the Unión de Asociaciones Artesanales Eloy Alfaro de Esmeraldas.
Kuná was founded in 2012 by Maria Fernanda Andrade and Luis Manuel Leon. It is perhaps the best chocolate brand from Ecuador, combining social responsibility, collaboration with indigenous peoples, attention to biodiversity, organic farming and quality.
