Karuna Hazelnut & Cashew Nougat 62% organic, 60g

The cocoa beans for this chocolate come from Sierra Madre del Chiapas, Mexico. The company Original Beans has discovered this cocoa in southern Mexico and built a plantation and fermentation site in collaboration with the indigenous people of the Zoque. This chocolate presents itself intensely nutty, fine roasted aromas round off the taste picture.
Since autumn 2018, the South Tyrolean manufactory Karuna has been producing wonderful chocolates. Katja and Armin, the founders, give high priority to ethically traded and organically grown fine cocoa. For sweetening they use Fairtrade raw cane sugar from Brazil. The organic cocoa butter is pressed from Nacional Arriba cocoa from the area around Los Rios and Esmeraldas in Equador. The almonds and fruits used are also organically produced. Newly, the packaging is also completely organic.
