Rich volcanic chocolate with cacao from Malekula Island. The nutrient-rich volcanic soil, the perfectionist harvesting and processing of the cacao by the local, experienced farmers make this cacao a fruity taste experience, with notes of cherries, white grapes and mild lemons.
Firetree was founded in 2017 by David Zulman, Martyn O’Dare and Aidan Bishop. Taking advantage of their experience in the chocolate industry, they now produce small batches of single-origin chocolates. The cocoa used comes from islands of volcanic origin around the Pacific fire belt. This, and the fact that a cacao tree full of ripe, bright red, yellow and orange pods can also look like it is on fire, led to the name “Firetree”.
