Darjeeling black tea, 2nd flush Selimbong Musk

The Selimbong tea garden has been producing organic tea for years, is Demeter certified and the teas are also sold under the Fairtrade label. Unfortunately, since COVID-19, the tea gardens in India have had major problems having the audits carried out for European homologation. This is why we have to sell this tea as conventional tea this year. 
The Selimbong plantation is beautifully situated near the Tiger Hills at an altitude of around 1500 metres above sea level. About half of the 300 hectares are planted with tea, the rest are forests and other vegetation.
The batch DJ61 is one of the best teas of this summer harvest. Its cup is bright golden yellow in colour, with a soft, flowery aroma and fragrant, fine nutmeg notes.
