“Sabores del Bosque” means “the flavours of the forest” and is the name of a cooperative of 23 small farmers who cultivate coffee in the cloud rainforests of the province of Moyobamba in northern Peru according to the highest ecological standards. The coffee bushes thrive in traditional rainforest gardens, embedded in diverse mixed cultures, at an altitude of 1200-1600 metres above sea level. Formerly deforested, fallow forest areas are also being reforested. The aim is to sustainably improve soil fertility and yields through near-natural and biodynamic cultivation of the Chacras.
We roast this coffee of exceptional quality not too dark to give the beans a medium-bodied flavour with nutty aromas and a slight sweetness. The subtle acidity blends harmoniously into the flavour, while a spicy note lingers on the palate.
Ideal for filter coffee, but also for espresso drinks or long coffee.
