We obtain the cinnamon leaves from a fairtrade project in Madagascar. The leaves develop their fine aroma only when they are cooked. Wonderful in rice, curry and various stews, but also in desserts such as rice pudding or creams.
In Arabic and Chinese folk medicine, cinnamon is said to have a positive and warming effect on the soul, stomach and intestines.
