The Charapita chilli is a very rare and expensive chilli that grows in northern Peru. The small yellow fruits are very hot and have a fresh, fruity and incomparable aroma. You can cook the Charapita chillies as whole berries in stews, sauces and braises or crush them in a mortar to season dishes.
