The chestnuts (Kastanien) smoked and dried over a chestnut wood fire are a rarity from Soglio. Wonderful with game, red cabbage, potatoes or in soups.
Soak the chestnuts in cold water overnight. Cook on low heat for 30 to 60 minutes depending on the intended use.
