The buckwheat flour “Buchweizenmehl” from Poschiavo (Farina di grano saraceno) is a wholemeal flour with a nutty taste, ideal for preparing savoury and sweet pancakes or Blini, for bread, Spätzli, pasta, pizza, focaccia, polenta, cookies and cakes.
Contrary to what the name suggests, buckwheat has nothing to do with wheat. It is a knotweed plant that is used like conventional grains and is naturally gluten-free.
“Molino e Pastificio SA” in Poschiavo has been producing flour and pasta with great commitment and passion since 1872. The family business, which is currently in its fifth generation, sets great value on environmental sustainability and tradition.
