Assam pepper wild 50g

The Assam pepper inspires not only by its unique shape, reminiscent of blackberries. The wild-growing specialty is a subspecies of the long pepper. It is picked in the north Indian Assam region according to traditional methods by local farmers. After drying, the pepper develops its typical warm, full-bodied, sweetly smoky aroma. The pungency of this wild pepper is much more subtle than that of the long pepper and needs some time to develop. The discreetly tingling note is accompanied by a cooling effect.
The wild Assam pepper goes wonderfully with grilled meat, game and hearty dishes, stews and potato dishes.
