Philippine cacao brings out smooth yet full flavor with notes of citrus, honey and caramel. The nutrient-rich volcanic soils and perfectionist processing of experienced, local farmers are the basis for this special taste.
Firetree was founded in 2017 by David Zulman, Martyn O’Dare and Aidan Bishop. Taking advantage of their experience in the chocolate industry, they now produce small batches of single-origin chocolates. The cocoa used comes from islands of volcanic origin around the Pacific fire belt. This, and the fact that a cacao tree full of ripe, bright red, yellow and orange pods can also look like it is on fire, led to the name “Firetree”.
