The volcanic soil in the Sambirano Valley and the perfected processing by local farmers give this single-estate chocolate unique flavours of fresh acidity with notes of raspberries and red fruits.
Firetree was founded in 2017 by David Zulman, Martyn O’Dare and Aidan Bishop. Taking advantage of their experience in the chocolate industry, they now produce small batches of single-origin chocolates. The cocoa used comes from islands of volcanic origin around the Pacific fire belt. This, and the fact that a cacao tree full of ripe, bright red, yellow and orange pods can also look like it is on fire, led to the name “Firetree”.
