Originally from South America, beetle beans (Feuerbohnen or Käferbohnen) taste delicately nutty and have a slightly floury consistency. As an ingredient in salads, soups, casseroles or stews, the beans provide a protein-rich twist.
Preparation: soak for about 12 hours and cook for 1 – 1.5 hours.
