The Artibel “Pallone di Fichi” is a speciality from Calabria made from Italian figs of the “Dottato” variety, which are rich in flesh, soft and low in seeds. The fruits are picked at the end of the ripening period, divided into “balls” and wrapped in green fig leaves. They are then baked in the oven to develop their typical flavour.
Excellent with cheeses such as Pecorino, Parmigiano Reggiano, Gorgonzola, Taleggio and Ricotta, with a glass of red or white wine or with liqueurs.
